If the Shrabanti look — green blouse and all — reminds you of Malaika Arora Khan in Munni, then it’s mission accomplished for this item number from Shoumik Chattopadhyay’s untitled film.

The bump-and-grind number by Shrabanti and Soham shot at Filmistan studio in Mumbai goes Tui amar coca cola, ami tor boka bhola...! And with some lines borrowed from the two Bolly superhit numbers of 2010, Sheila ki jawaani (Tees Maar Khan) and Munni badnaam hui (Dabangg)! “People have so far only seen me as the sweet girl-next-door, but this song is something else! Baba Yadav (choreographer) has given me some very nice (read, naughty!) steps,” laughs Shrabanti, busy checking out her jhatkas and matkas in the edit bay after returning from Mumbai. “Shrikantda (Mohta of Shree Venkatesh Films) called me and said I look awesome in the song and so I came over to the edit bay to see it. Rajib (husband) said it’s fatafati; I’m blushing!”

Having fun shooting the item number apart, Shrabanti’s high point was meeting Shahid Kapoor in the Goregaon studio. “I am a big fan of his and when I met him he said ‘hello’! Now I know how our fans feel when they meet us!” chirps the actress.

Shrabanti’s co-star Soham is equally excited about his item number debut. “We had a blast. It was fun because even the co-dancers were dancing so well. All of them were from Bombay and they are so professional. I would love to do more item songs,” he says.
