A slew of classic romantic blockbusters have been re-released in theatres this Valentine’s Week. Here’s a ready reckoner of all the titles in Hindi and English you can watch on the big screen.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

The iconic romance of Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) and Simran (Kajol) will come alive once again in theatres this Valentine’s Day. Directed by Aditya Chopra, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is the longest-running movie in the history of Indian cinema and continues to run at Mumbai's Maratha Mandir theatre. The 1995 romantic blockbuster revolves around Raj, a happy-go-lucky person, who falls in love with Simran, a traditional Indian girl, during a trip across Europe. As Simran’s father (Amrish Puri) fixes her marriage in Punjab, Raj fights against all odds to win back his love.

Jab We Met

Imtiaz Ali’s 2007 romantic drama Jab We Met follows the much-talked-about love story of Geet and Aditya. Geet’s (Kareena Kapoor Khan) boisterous and bubbly nature won hearts across the nation while Aditya (Shahid Kapoor) became an epitome of unconditional love. The story of the film was simple yet heart-touching. A heartbroken business tycoon Aditya Kashyap meets Geet Kaur Dhillon, who is eloping to unite with her lover, on a train and gradually falls in love with her.

Tamasha

Ved and Tara’s love story in Imtiaz Ali’s 2015 romantic drama Tamasha is a treat to savour on Valentine’s Day. Tara (Deepika Padukone) meets Ved (Ranbir) during a vacation in Corsica and falls in love with him. When their paths cross later in life, Tara finds Ved to be a changed man, one who has lost his carefree attitude. Unhappy with this lifeless version of Ved, Tara decides to leave him, triggering a change in his behaviour. He finally confronts his deep-seated scars and returns to his true, cheerful self.

Titanic

A remastered version (in 3D 4K HDR) of James Cameron’s 1997 classic Titanic released on the big screen to commemorate the film’s 25th anniversary. Set against the backdrop of the real-life sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912, the film narrates a heartwarming love story between Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet), who fall for each other on the ship despite belonging to different social classes.

Ticket to Paradise

George Clooney and Julia Roberts play a divorced couple in Ol Parker’s Ticket to Paradise. The bickering couple team up to sabotage their daughter’s wedding in this 2022 romantic comedy. They travel to Bali, Indonesia and in their desperate attempts at stopping their daughter from marrying a seaweed dealer, the duo rekindle their old romance.
