Adam Levine was a guest on The Tonight Show this week and host Jimmy Fallon challenged the Maroon 5 frontman to a “friendly” contest — ‘Wheel of Impressions’ — in which the two did their best singing impressions... but with a difference: at the touch of a button, they had to take on a random singer-song mix. So, Levine sang the children’s song Head Shoulders Knees and Toes in Frank Sinatra’s style, while Fallon did a remarkable take on the Magic! number Rude in the way Bob Dylan would sing it. The best? Fallon’s rendition of Old McDonald Had A Farm in Iggy Azalea’s voice. The week’s biggest YouTube hit has 9,509,212 singalongs.

DESI KALAKAAR: HONEY SINGH

Whatever this man touches turns to gold. Yo Yo man Honey Singh’s latest single — Desi Kalakaar featuring Sonakshi Sinha — is a winner on YouTube. Shot in California, the video — which has everything from R&B to Punjabi rap — focuses on Honey’s love story with Sonakshi and how the two elope when her family objects to the match. Total views for Desi Kalakaar — which is a whopping 9:57 long — is 5,484,969.

MEHERBAAN: BANG BANG

action-romance film Bang Bang. Shot in the beautiful Greek locales of Santorini and Mykonos, Meherbaan — sung by Ash King, Shilpa Rao and Shekhar Ravjiani — has a tanned Hrithik romancing Katrina, who looks like a million bucks. Meherbaan has been watched and rewatched 1,622,034 times.

GOLD DIGGER!

The creative guys at Trouble Seeker Team pulled off a ‘Gold Digger Prank’ — in which a person’s behaviour changes when he/ she learns something about your status. Set in a busy Mumbai street, a young man approaches a PYT and asks for her number and is expectedly rebuffed. Cue for another girl — the guy’s partner-in-crime — to make an appearance and request him for a photograph with her, saying she’s a fan of his. Once she leaves, the first girl asks the guy whether he’s anyone famous. When he lies that he’s a TV actor, she immediately agrees to give him her number — but he refuses! The 1:19 clip has grabbed 466,967 eyeballs.

SPLITSVILLA’S BADMAASH BHEDIYA!

Season 7 of MTV reality show Splitsvilla chugs on and episode 12, aired last weekend, has made it to our YT top 6 chart. In this episode, hosts Sunny Leone and Nikhil Chinapa asked the girls to choose a bad boy — or ‘badmaash bhediya’ (yes, that’s what the episode was called!) — from among the boys. The hour-long episode — in which ‘bad boy’ Abhishek became badmaash bhediya — has 433,403 views.

KAPOORS ON KHER’S COUCH

Last Sunday’s episode of The Anupam Kher Show in which cousins Sonam and Arjun Kapoor chatted about films and family with host Anupam Kher rounds off the list. The fun episode — in which Sonam declared that she “hates” all of Arjun’s girlfriends and Arjun criticised Sonam’s “poor” driving skills — has 112,563 hits.

This one’s an eye-opener for all those who have been pouring bucket after bucket of water on themselves as part of the ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’. The

two-minute video called ‘Wasting life, a bucket at a time’ and made by Teen Pathar Productions, shows a day in the life of a woman for whom every day is a war... a war to get two buckets of water for her family. Working as a domestic help, the woman watches her wealthy employers pouring buckets of water on themselves, but she has to trudge miles to get water for her home from a tanker that supplies the precious commodity to her slum only twice a week. The last few lines of the video — “780 million people lack access to clean water. If you are lucky to have access to clean water, then please don’t waste it in the name of charity” — say it all.
