The Diplomat
Netflix unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming drama series The Diplomat on Wednesday. Created by Debora Cahn, the series stars Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, Ali Ahn, David Gyasi, Ato Essandoh, Rory Kinnear, Miguel Sandoval and Nana Mensah.
The two-minute-14-second-long trailer chronicles the life of Kate Wyler (Keri Russell), the new US ambassador to the UK, as she has to defuse international crises and forge strategic alliances in London. She adjusts to her new place in the spotlight while also trying to survive her marriage to fellow career diplomat Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell).
The Diplomat will be streaming on Netflix from April 20.
Rudhran
Sun TV dropped the official trailer for its upcoming Tamil-language action thriller film Rudhran on Wednesday. Directed by debutant S. Kathiresan, the film stars Raghava Lawrence, R. Sarathkumar, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sarath Kumar and Poornima Bhagyaraj.
In the two-minute-38-second-long trailer, we see over-the-top action sequences and dance setpieces with Raghava Lawrence taking the centre stage. At the end of the video, we are introduced to the antagonist played by Sarath Kumar.
Rudhran will hit the cinemas on April 14.
Clone High
HBO Max released the official teaser for its upcoming Canadian-American adult animated science fiction sitcom Clone High. The voice cast of the series includes Will Forte, Nicole Sullivan, Michael McDonald, Christa Miller and Chris Miller.
The one-minute-49-second-long teaser takes us to a high school populated by clones of well-known historical figures, such as Abe Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Gandhi, Cleopatra, Mahatma Gandhi and JFK.
Mission Chapter 1
Lyca Productions t shared the official teaser of its upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual action film Mission Chapter 1 on Wednesday late night. Directed by Vijay, the film stars Arun Vijay, Amy Jackson, Nimisha Sajayan, Abi Hassan, Bharath Bopanna, Baby Iyal and Viraaj S.
The one-minute-32-second-long teaser shows Amy Jackson in charge of a prison close to central London where criminals are serving their sentences. Arun Vijay’s character is also in jail and we see him fighting other inmates during a fire breakout. However, it seems his character has a more compelling backstory than that of a common criminal.
