Team Durga Sohay dropped in at Yauatcha to dig into their Poila Baisakh platter (non-veg and veg). The Scallop Shui Mai was a big hit.
“The Scallop was superb. The food is very intriguing. The best part about the food is the distinct flavours… and they complement each other really well,” said filmmaker Arindam, whose Durga Sohay, a family drama, releases on April 28.
“The film revolves around a joint family in north Calcutta and I come from one such family. There are a lot of characters in the film that I am familiar with. My relatives are going to find themselves in the film. Durga Sohay talks about the inner strength, the inner Durga, in women,” he added.
“The food at Yauatcha is imaginative, and combined with the freshness of ingredients, makes every dish a treat. The dishes have a personality, a uniqueness which moves beyond the typicality of the cuisine. The ambience, too, especially the private dining room with the round rotating table is in sync with my personal taste. A month ago I was here with my family and we had an incredibly good time. We must have eaten half their menu!” said Bickram Ghosh, who has scored the music for Durga Sohay.
