Want to be tickled silly and have the skies rain down on you the next time you watch a film? Walk into 11D Adventure Plex, a 30-seater mini theatre on the third floor of Quest mall, to not only “watch” a film, but also “feel” it.

Built with technology imported from the United Kingdom, each show — all animation and running upto 20 minutes — boasts a host of special effects: double vibrators, hot water effects, snow, air jets, butt ticklers, thunder, bubble, aroma, pokers, leg ticklers, lightning, blast effect....

“The plex has been doing very well ever since it was launched in the beginning of February. Kids, teens, young professionals and even the elderly have come in to experience our shows. There have been lots of repeat customers as well as enquiries for birthday parties,” says Vanita Bajoria, director, VK Fun Rides (P) Ltd and the force behind 11D Adventure Plex.

Patrons walking into the plex can customise their choice of films and pick two to watch. Now playing is a whole bouquet of films like Haunted Mine Ride, Super Horror, Enchanted Castle, Roller Coaster, Earthquake and Amazing Horror, with The Adventure of Jett and Jin and Adventures of Alibaba being the pop picks. “We will add 25 new films every month to the programming roster,” says Bajoria.VK Fun Rides (P) Ltd also owns the 7D Adventure Plex at Mani Square, which has been operational for more than a year now and continues to attract sizeable footfalls.

At 11D, Ferrari seats and a silver screen with dynamic vision add to the experience. Polarised glasses are handed out before each show.

Special packages are available for birthday parties with SOS Planet and Haunted Raceway exclusively kept for such bookings. More such special and customised packages will be made available during the summer vacations.

What is 11D?

11D is a motion chair-based pneumatic technology originally developed by Study Sim in UK. It is a simulator ride based on the virtual-reality concept. The experience provides viewers with 11 visual dimensions and special effects such as double vibrators, hot water effect, snow, air jets, butt ticklers, thunder, bubble, aroma, pokers, leg ticklers, lightning and blast effect.
