Shamshera Title Track

Yash Raj Films has released the title track of their upcoming film Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The energetic track sets the tone for the period action drama.

The song is voiced by Sukhwinder Singh and Abhishek Nailwal. With additional vocals by Godswill Mergulhao, Anand Bhaskar, Varun Likhate and Siddharth Basrur, the track is composed and written by Mithoon.

The track is picturised on the struggles of Shamshera’s tribe during the British Raj and especially on the hands of Daroga Shuddh Singh. The song emphasises the fight of the people of the fictional town Kaza led by their leader Shamshera.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

Amazon Prime Video has released a second trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. It is a series adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fabled Second Age of Middle-earth.

The trailer gives us glimpses of breathtaking visuals including the Elven realms of Lindon and Eregion, the Dwarven realm Khazad-dum, the Southlands, the Northernmost Wastes, the Sundering Seas and the island kingdom of Numenor.

The trailer gives viewers a first look at characters such as Isildur (Maxim Baldry), Elendil (Lloyd Owen), Pharazon (Trystan Gravelle), Queen Regent Miriel (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), Númenóreans Kemen (Leon Wadham) and Earien (Ema Horvath). The series will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on September 2.

Boundless

Amazon Prime Video released the trailer for their Spanish language show Boundless, starring Money Heist star Alvaro Morte and Rodrigo Santoro of 300 fame in the roles of Magallanes and Elcano respectively.

The series tells the story of the first sailing trip around the world ever completed, coinciding with the celebration of the expedition’s 500th anniversary. The series, helmed by Lara Croft: Tomb Raider director Simon West, will bring to life the thrilling epic story of a group of sailors on a voyage into the unknown. The OTT platform has not yet announced the release date of the series.

The Most Hated Man on the Internet

Netflix has released the trailer of their upcoming documentary The Most Hated Man on the Internet on the subject of revenge porn which has been a fierce issue in recent years.

The documentary tells the story of a mother’s mission against the self-styled ‘King of Revenge Porn’ after nude photos of her daughter are posted online. The documentary will premiere on Netflix on July 27.

DOTA: Dragon's Blood: Book 3

The adventures of Davion, the Dragon Knight, will return soon as Netflix has released the new trailer for DOTA: Dragon’s Blood Book Three. The latest instalment will supposedly wrap up the entire Dragon Knight saga, but we may see a continuation of the series.

In the trailer, it appears that every single member of the cast is in for a rough time. The demon king villain is amassing legions of ghost dragons and the undead, which will almost certainly result in fantastical zombie warfare for viewers. DOTA: Dragon’s Blood will be available on Netflix on August 11.

She Said

Universal Pictures released the trailer of their upcoming film She Said, based on the book of the same name by Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor. The two journalists reignited the #MeToo movement with their New York Times expose on the Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein.

Actresses Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan star as the two journalists. She Said is directed by Maria Schrader, who previously directed the Netflix limited series Unorthodox. Ida and Colette writer Rebecca Lenkiewicz adapted the screenplay.

The ensemble cast includes Patricia Clarkson, Andre Braugher, Samantha Morton, Jennifer Ehle, Tom Pelphrey and Adam Shapiro. The film will release in theatres on November 18.
