After having lost the Calcutta Cup to CC&FC last month, Jungle Crows (in green), took the field on September 12, determined to win The Centenary Cup. The finals had come down to another battle between CC&FC and Jungle Crows on the club grounds and this time it was Jungle Crows that grabbed the cup with a scoreline of 31-25. Pritam Singh of Jungle Crows was the star with two tries. “I was delighted that we stormed to a great win in the Centenary Cup, it was very much what all the players and supporters deserved for another superb Crows season,” said Paul Walsh, co-founder, Jungle Crows.
The National Under-19 Boys Rugby team is currently in Bhubaneswar for the All India Junior Nationals. During their final warm-up match on the Maidan on September 17, they were surprised (pleasantly, of course!) by pizzas from Fire and Ice pizzeria. “The team is made up primarily of players from Jungle Crows and Future Hope. We were very happy that Annamaria, the founder of Fire and Ice, honoured our boys with pizzas all around!” said Paul Walsh, co-founder, Jungle Crows.
