Byomkesh O Agniban
Directorspeak: Anjan Dutt

Feedback: People are saying this is my best Byomkesh Bakshi film till date. They have loved the performances, the look and feel of the film, the two-story-mash-up (Agniban and Uposhonghar). The film has a lot of energy.
High points of audience response: The climax which is very thrilling. Jisshu as Byomkesh is fantastic.

Why watch it this Puja: It’s more cinematic than my previous Byomkesh films, and people are enjoying the new experience.

Prosenjit dropped by to encourage Projapoti Biskut debut pair Aditya Sengupta and Ishaa Saha at the premiere of the Anindya Chattopadhyay film at Navina. Aditya and Ishaa play a married couple having difficulty conceiving, and the film goes on to show how they deal with the ‘crisis’ in a joint family.

Projapoti Biskut
Directorspeak: Anindya Chattopadhyay

Feedback: The audience have accepted Ishaa and Aditya as a new screen couple. The music of the film is already a hit.
High points of audience response: The exchange between Shantilal Mukherjee and Aparajita Adhya in their Howrah home; Rajatava Dutta’s lines.

Why watch it this Puja: You will get to see ektu bhalobasha and a fresh lead pair.

Cockpit
Directorspeak: Kamaleswar Mukherjee

Feedback: People have really liked the subject (about a pilot who is steering a flight caught in turbulence), they have found the idea fresh and new. They didn’t expect a film like this to happen here. Dev, Rukmini (Maitra) and Koel (Mallick) have successfully portrayed their characters.

High points of audience response: The last half an hour of the film; it’s a nail-biting, edge-of-the-seat experience for the audience. The funny lines of Ambarish and others. Also, when you are telling the story of a journey with passengers on a plane or train or ship, a cross section of people come together, and this assemblage of people on a flight is one of the highlights.

Why watch it this Puja: The subject. And you’ll get to watch Dev playing a pilot. He looks amazing in uniform.
