Following the release of Tovino Thomas’s 2018 and Ashok Selvan’s Saba Nayagan trailer, the makers of several upcoming Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look.

Pichaikkaran 2 (Telugu)

The official trailer for Vijay Anthony’s upcoming Tamil-language film Pichaikkaran 2 was released by Saregama Tamil. Directed by Vijay Antony, the film features him alongside Kavya Thapar, Dato Radha Ravi, Y Gee Mahendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Hareesh Peradi, John Vijay, Dev Gill and Yogi Babu.

The almost two-minute-long trailer shows glimpses of the upcoming film but doesn’t reveal much about the storyline. The clip shows ancient rituals and sci-fi visuals. We also see an aeroplane crashing into the waters and Vijay Antony’s character being taken to court by the police amid mass protest. Pichaikkaran 2 will hit theatres on May 19.

Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty (Telugu)

UV Creations shared the official teaser of its upcoming Telugu-language romantic comedy film Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. Written and directed by Mahesh Babu P, the film stars Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty in the lead roles.

The one-minute-two-second-long teaser shows Anushka Shetty as a chef who runs a posh hotel-cum-restaurant. Naveen Polishetty is an aspiring stand-up comedian and wants to perform in her restaurant. The video also shows some moments of them roaming around the city and getting to know each other.

Mudhol (Kannada)

A2 Music dropped the title teaser of its upcoming Kannada-language action film Mudhol. Written and directed by Karthik Rajan, the film stars Vikram Ravichandran in the lead role.

In the two-minute-47-second-long teaser, we see Vikram Ravichandran as an inmate in shackles who is cooking in a giant kitchen. A group of inmates enter the area with weapons to attack him but Vikram kills them all.

Anuragam (Malayalam)

The trailer for the Malayalam-language romantic drama film Anuragam was unveiled by Satyam Videos. Written by Ashwin Jose and directed by Shahad, the film stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Johny Antony, Aswin Jose, Moozi and Sheela.

The two-minute-31-second-long trailer shows glimpses of three different love stories of people in various phases of their lives. The lives of all these people turn out to be interconnected.

Anuragam will arrive in cinemas on May 5.
