Emily in Paris is renowned for its fashion and Parisian energy. Be it the protagonist Emily(Lily Collins) or her boss Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu)or everyone’s heartthrob Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), everyone has a unique style that embodies and fits their distinct personas. Through three seasons, the fashion on the show has only got bigger and more adventurous.

As we see Emily transition to a Parisian environment from her mid-west roots, she does not shy away from showcasing her showstopper outfits that could possibly be loud and outrageous for many. Her friend Mindy(Ashley Park) doesn’t quite give into minimalism and loves the extravaganza. On the other hand, we see Sylvie enjoying and embracing the free nature of french fashion.

This season, we witness Emily flaunting her maximalist side but also balancing it out with practicality as she is worried about the changes and chaos at work. Speaking about Emily’s fashion this season, the show’s costume designer Marylin Fitoussi told Elle: “I think now it’s time for her(Emily) to embrace, a little bit, the French culture. She decided to stay in Paris... this young American girl is saying: ‘Oh, the high-waisted trousers with the wide legs, that’s so iconic about Sylvie’s silhouette. I can take it and do it in my own style.” Our top picks of Emily’s fashion Season 3...

1. IRIDESCENT GLAM

Emily definitely loves breaking ground rules. Styling an iridescent skirt from Peter Dundas with knee-high boots and a multi-colored fluorescent sweater from Essentiel Antwerp, this look is one of its kind. Paired with a red Louis Vuitton sling, this outfit illustrates how Emily doesn’t shy away from mixing and matching different silhouettes in one look.

2. PURPLE PATCH

This purple ruffled number was an absolute stunner this season. Paired with a sleek updo, it makes for a perfect over-the-top lunch outfit. A Giuseppe Di Morabitocorseted floral dress that’s cinched at the waist is paired with an H&Mx Iris Apfel purple tulle ruffle jacket. The dainty gold jewellery balances out the look.

3. DRAMA DONE RIGHT

In this look from Episode 1, Emily stuns in a mini cutout Magda Butrym dress and layers it with a dramatic pink feather coat, which was designed by Fitoussi exclusively for the show. This look is almost a celebration of the extravaganza of Emily’s fashion through the seasons. Mint-coloured platform heels act as a contrast. The play with colours, textures, tones and prints is big for Emily’sfashion this season.

4. MAXIMALIST MOMENT

This sizzling dual-toned Dolce &Gabbana number, which gives off a crossover between zebra and an elephant vibe, is definitely a showstopper. The exaggerated sleeves, the vintage-inspired hairdo styled with uneven squared hoops, bold burgundy lips and accessorised with Christian Louboutin heels — the maximalist in Emily strikes again!

5. SUMMER VIBES

This teal blue gingham swimsuit worn with a silky overlay and paired with cat-eye white sunglasses is taking us right back to summer! Paired with a muted red lip and accessorised with dainty gold jewellery, Emily definitely knows how to balance an amalgamation of prints which to most of us may feel overwhelming. The half up-half down hairdo with beachy waves adds to the vintage aesthetic of this outfit.
