Oscar Film Festival: PVR INOX to screen movies nominated for 96th Academy Awards

The film festival will take place in 100 cinemas in 33 cities across India from February 23 till March 21

PVR INOX is set to screen a lineup of Oscar-nominated films from February 23 to March 21, providing moviegoers with the opportunity to experience the films on the big screen.

With a little over two weeks to go for the 96th Academy Awards, scheduled to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 10 (March 11 in India), the month-long Oscar Film Festival will be taking place in close to 100 cinemas in 33 cities across India.

“Here’s your chance to watch this year’s best and biggest Oscar-nominated blockbusters once again on the big screen from February 23 to March 21! . Join us as we celebrate the #OscarsFilmFestival and watch these amazing Oscar-nominated masterpieces such as Oppenheimer, Killers Of The Flower Moon, The Holdovers, and much more only at #PVRINOX,” the official handle of PVR Cinemas posted on Instagram along with a poster.

Speaking about the initiative, PVR INOX co-CEO Gautam Dutta said the festival aims to celebrate the artistry and excellence of cinema while providing moviegoers with an unforgettable cinematic experience. “We are delighted to have the movie enthusiasts to join us for this ultimate cinematic celebration and immerse themselves in the magic of the Oscars,” he added.

The festival will showcase a rich selection of films that have left an indelible mark on the global film landscape in 2023. Leading the pack is Oppenheimer with an impressive 13 Oscar nominations, followed closely by Killers of the Flower Moon with 10 nominations. Other notable entries in the lineup include Anatomy of a Fall and The Holdovers with five nominations each, Napoleon with three nominations, Past Lives and The Creator with three nominations each, and The Teachers’ Lounge with one nomination.
