Yashoda

Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the poster of her upcoming Telugu-language science fiction thriller Yashoda on Wednesday. Directed by the debutant duo of Hari and Harish, the film is billed as a new-age thriller.

The Family Man actress shared her first look in the poster on Instagram with the caption “The indomitable will!! #YashodaTeaser on Sep 9th @ 5:49PM.”

In the poster, Samantha’s Yashoda is seen injured and lost amidst a crowd in a public place. The film also features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan in lead roles. Yashoda will also be released in Tamil.

The Son

Sony Pictures Classic has dropped the trailer of its upcoming film The Son starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern and Vanessa Kirby. It is helmed by Florian Zeller, who previously directed the critically acclaimed The Father.

In the 53-second-long teaser, Peter (Jackman) must adjust to his estranged son Nicholas (Zen McGrath), who is staying with him after being dropped off by his mother Kate (Laura Dern). Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Hawkins is also seen in the trailer.

The Son will premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on September 7.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Netflix has released the trailer of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, introducing some of the story’s key players. The new series will follow the journey of a street kid trying to survive in the technology and body modification-obsessed Night City.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a 10-episode collaboration between Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt and Japanese animation studio Trigger, which has previously worked on the likes of Little Witch Academia and Kill la Kill. The anime show will be streaming on Netflix from September 13.

Bones and All

On Wednesday, actor Timothee Chalamet shared a brand new poster of his upcoming romantic horror film Bones and All. Chalamet reunites with his Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino for this new project. The new poster has been designed by renowned American artist Elizabeth Peyton.

Bones and All also stars Taylor Russell and Timothee Chalamet as a cannibalistic couple who have been travelling across the US in the late 1980s. The movie is based on a best-selling novel by Camille DeAngelis.

Nanny

Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday dropped the trailer of its upcoming psychological horror Nanny starring Anna Diop, Michelle Monaghan and Morgan Spector.

The trailer gives us a sneak peek into the life of Aisha, who moves to the US. Haunted by the absence of the young son she left behind, Aisha’s new job as a nanny becomes increasingly unsettled by her employer’s volatile home life.

Nanny will arrive on Prime Video on December 16.

Living

Lionsgate UK has revealed the trailer of its upcoming film Living starring Billy Nighy. It is the English-language remake of Japanese auteur Akira Kurosawa’s 1952 film Ikiru.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of Nighy’s Williams, a grumpy government office worker who gets a rude awakening after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. He realises he has not been living to the fullest and goes about trying to change that. The film also features Netflix’s Sex Education star Aimee Lou Wood.

Living will hit the theatres on November 4.
