Riding high

Last Sunday, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj teamed up to give the MTV Video Music Awards a steamy-sticky moment — they pushed down the heads of two male dancers while simulating you-know-what. Ariana has since confirmed their track Side To Side is indeed X-rated ’cause it’s about being in pain after having too much sex. The 23-year-old told MTV: “That whole song is about riding leading to soreness. ‘Ride d**k bicycle’ is the lyric, indeed.”

Just to put things in perspective, the entire line — rapped by Nicki — goes like this: “This the new style with the fresh type of flow/ Wrist icicle, ride d**k bicycle/ Come true yo, get you this type of blow/ If you wanna Minaj I got a tricycle.”

Actress Lena Dunham has tweeted her shock: “Jack (Antonoff, her boyfriend) just explained that the song Side To Side is about getting railed so hard you can’t walk. SO MANY EMOTIONZ.”

Perrie still with Zayn?!

Perrie Edwards is planning a revenge act. The Little Mix singer will reportedly express through a song her anger about the way her relationship with Zayn Malik ended in August 2015. Perrie’s bandmate Jesy Nelson has told The Sun: “I think it’s always easier to write about your experiences through music because more people can relate to them anyway. It is a lot more mature, this album. There’s a lot of things that have been said that perhaps nobody has heard yet, if you know what I mean.”

Will the 23-year-old be out of line singing about her past relationship? To be fair, Zayn did sing in She Don’t Love Me: “I think I know she don’t love me/ That’s why I f**k her right.”

Meanwhile, Perrie has found love. The new man in her life is British actor Luke Pasqualino, whom Zayn admires! When Australia’s The Hot Hits radio programme had asked the One Directioner in 2012 which actor can play him in a biopic, he had said: “He’s called Luke and he was in the British version of Skins — he played Freddie.”

So, Perrie is with Luke who, in a way, could be Zayn. Can we say Perrie is still with Zayn?!

The summer track

Drake’s single One Dance is now officially the biggest song of the summer. Even after 15 weeks, it was still there at #1 on the UK chart, tying with Wet Wet Wet’s Love Is All Around but behind Bryan Adams’s (Everything I Do) I Do it For You. Now The Official Charts Company has named the song the biggest of the summer as it has managed to notch up 654,000 combined chart sales and is also the most-streamed track, logging 51 million plays. Google Play Music has also crowned One Dance  the song of summer 2016. Hot on the rapper’s trail are Kungs vs Cookin’ on 3 Burners’s This Girl and Calvin Harris’s (feat. Rihanna) This is What You Came For.
