Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse have snuck out of the screen and have slipped into Satya Paul’s wardrobe! The Disney Monopop by Satya Paul line, available at the label’s Quest mall outlet, has the popular Disney characters splashed across saris, tunics, bags, scarves and ties. To show us how to wear the range of quirky clothes, a special afternoon over tea was hosted by beauty expert Bridgette Jones. Tips to take? Different ways to drape a sari and a thing or two about make-up that would go with it. t2 took notes...

Wearing a sari over a shirt (that has been knotted up at the back or just left loose) with the pallu wrapped around the neck ups the quirk and turning-heads factor.

Bridgette Jones paired a Disney Monopop sari with her favourite black bodycon lace tee, instead of the regular blouse. “Disney has been a part of everyone’s childhood. It’s really great now that we’re all grown up, this collection makes it possible for it to still be a part of our wardrobe,” she said.

Why should girls have all the fun? There are ties for men, in Mickey-Minnie prints, priced at Rs 2,495.

There’s a family function and you need to slip on a sari. Let Mickey Mouse come to the rescue, like it did for Danielle! Wear a fun sari from the line like a dhoti and cinch it around the waist with a belt. Team it with tights and a simple black tee, and wrap a scarf stylishly around the neck.

Can’t play Holi this year? Get into the mood nonetheless by slipping into this colourful shirt, and wear it like Sneha did — with hot pants and towering heels.

This cute little Mickey Mouse sling pouch caught our eye (Rs 2,995).
