CHAAT CHOMP: On Saturday evening, Tolly heart-throb Abir Chatterjee dropped in at chaat vendor Sanjib Shaw’s stall outside Vishal Mega Mart on VIP Road, Baguiati. Sanjib’s (above) chaat mix with four newly-launched Kurkure flavours has been a hit with his customers. “I am fond of Papri Chaat and Dahi Vada, though I can’t have anything spicy. Even in between shoots, we often get chaats. Sanjib’s Kurkure chaat was a fun fusion and I am sure he would be able to please many shoppers who want to grab a tasty snack after shopping here,” said Abir, in between polishing off a plate of Kurkure chaat and handing over a prize to Sanjib who is one of the 20 best chaatwallahs chosen as part of Kurkure’s Priyo Chilli Flavour Khao, Star-er Shaathe Shopping-e Jao contest. SMS your favourite Kurkure flavour — from Kurkure Chilli Mustard, Kurkure Chilli Saucy, Kurkure Chilli Garlic and Kurkure Chilli Achari — to 5499974. Locket Chatterjee braved the rains on Friday evening to taste his crunchy Kurkure chaat. “It’s nice! I have never had Kurkure chaat before. It’s got a tangy taste, the perfect Puja munch,” she said, before heading for another round of chaat bingeing at Prakash’s stall just outside Gariahat Pantaloons. Between bites, Locket also handed over a prize to Netai and Prakash (picture top).
