The participants of Maa er Super Kid were in for a super-surprise when five members of the Kolkata Knight Riders walked into the sets of the Colors Bangla game show on
May 5.

The show, which celebrates the mother-child bond through teamwork and fun challenges conducted by actress Ranita Das and Vhoola Tamang who plays a giant called Dwaityo, welcomed Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, K.C. Cariappa, Vaibhav Rawal and Sheldon Jackson on set.

The Knights interacted with the contestants and played a bit of bat and ball too. And when Akraprava Biswas complained that his dad asks him only to study while all he wants to do is become a cricketer when he grows up, Chawla spoke to the father on the boy’s behalf. “Studies and cricket can be balanced. You should be encouraging your kid to play sports. Who knows, one day he might be standing where we are standing today,” said the KKR Man of the Match against Delhi Daredevils.

Pathan was in fine form, ribbing Sheldon by calling him “Michael Jackson” and playfully even challenging the show’s Dwaityo, saying “Hum bhi kum nahin”.

Piyush Chawla bowled to aspiring cricketer Arkaprava, a Class IV student of Patha Bhavan, while the other Knights took up fielding positions

When requested to shake a leg with the little ones, though at first the Knights were a little shy, once Korbo lorbe jitbo re started playing, all of them broke into a jig.

“I am feeling very good about interacting with these kids. They are our future superstars,” Pathan told t2.
