MORE OF TRIS AND FOUR
Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) will be back and they will do more than run through each other’s fearscapes. We, of course, hope for more sexy-time between them (we know there is at least one!) but that might be in short supply given that they are on the run from the Erudite faction of post-apocalyptic Chicago, have battles to fight and drama, deception and betrayal to deal with.

SPENDING TIME IN AMITY AND CANDOR
We spent most of Divergent in the Dauntless headquarters and the rest in Abnegation and Erudite, but in Insurgent we will get an in-depth look at the other two factions — Amity, the peace-loving ones, and Candor, the honest ones. Tris, Four and the others who escape the massacre at Abnegation head to Amity for shelter before moving on to the Candor headquarters to gather allies in their fight against the Erudite. 

HOW GUS GIVES WAY TO CALEB
Ansel Elgort romanced Shailene Woodley in The Fault In Our Stars — and how! Now they go back to being brother and sister, that too those who don’t seem to see eye to eye. But at least we are going to see more of Caleb this time around.

MORE OF EVIL KATE
Kate Winslet’s delightfully evil Jeanine will be back as more of Erudite’s plans for control become clear. Her cold and calculated manipulations left us awestruck and we can’t wait for more, especially the one-on-one interaction (read fight) between Tris and Jeanine at the Erudite headquarters.

TRIS’S MOM BACK FROM DEAD
Ashley Judd’s character Natalie Prior dies at the end of the first film, but we see her back in the trailers for Insurgent. Is it Tris’s fearscape changing? Is she really back from the dead? We are looking forward to having the questions answered.

THE INSANE ACTION SEQUENCES
We’ve seen Tris jump off buildings and zip across the sky on dares in Divergent and it seems like we are in for some more breath-taking fight sequences in this film. Shailene Woodley has done most of the stunts herself and we are seriously looking forward to her shero act.

A LOOK AT THE MYSTERIOUS FACTIONLESS HEADQUARTERS
The factionless, the ones who are not part of the five factions because they have either left or been thrown out of them, come into the limelight in the second book as Tris, Four and some others seek their help only to find a plan to overthrow the Erudite already in motion. We get our first look at the factionless headquarters this time.

KICKASS EVELYN
In a film full of cool and kick-ass female characters, whether they are good or evil, here comes yet another lady to reckon with. Evelyn (Naomi Watts) is the leader of the factionless and Four’s mother, who was believed to be dead. You can’t help but be in awe of her and you can’t help but be suspicious of her. Who leaves their son to suffer the abuse Four had at the hands of his father?

OCTAVIA SPENCER ADDS AWARD POWER
Yet another Academy Award winner joins the cast as Octavia Spencer takes on the role of Amity leader Johanna, who rallies with Tris and Four.
