Rudranil Ghosh is a driver, Locket Chatterjee his employer. Together they roll in bed, exchange sweet nothings, bite a single French fry and get wet as well! All this for Aniket Chattopadhyay’s rom-com Bye Bye Bangkok. The team had booked a room at HHI to shoot the “indecent scenes” (that’s how Locket described them!).

Aniket has shot a major portion of the film on Bangkok’s Pattaya beach with an ensemble cast including Rudranil and Locket.

Last week he shot the indoor scenes. “These mushy scenes between Sadhu (Rudranil) and Anwesha (Locket) are crucial because they establish their relationship, which could be infatuation, love or hatred,” said Aniket.

Sadhu has escaped to Bangkok with his malkin Anwesha and have signed up as husband and wife. The scene in question is one where the two are sharing a hearty meal and as Rudra lights his cigarette the fire alarm starts ringing and there’s a splash of water on the bed.

“It’s a very difficult scene, we have to be really careful with the water sprinkler. As it is the room is cramped and with the lights, props and camera, it’s difficult getting the right angle,” said P.B. Chaki, the DoP.

“Though this is an indecent scene, it’s shot in a funny way. There’s no illicit relationship between Anwesha and Sadhu. Anwesha has come to keep an eye on her husband (Neel Mukhopadhyay). But Sadhu thinks they are a couple,” laughed Locket.

“Sadhu is happy that his memsaheb has come to Bangkok with him. He asks her why she is splurging so much because his monthly salary is only Rs 4,000. Deep down he plans to make love to her!” laughed Rudranil.

“We have a few days of shoot left. Bye Bye Bangkok will be ready by December,” Aniket added.
