Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, who turned 49 on January 10, says he wants to celebrate his birthday by doing things he actually likes to do.

The Vikram Vedha actor said he used to think of it as a fun day. “But then somewhere along the way it started becoming a chore and a duty. One must celebrate, must party....Birthdays began to come with a slight sense of discomfort. But today, I see it as an opportunity to spend time doing things that would fulfil me. I may still do the exact same things, but now it’s out of my own desire and sense of fulfilment rather than a self-imposed mandate,” he explained.

Asked what has been his biggest learning in these 49 years, Hrithik quickly responded, “That peace is not high up there at the top of the pyramid that we hope to reach someday after all the work is done or at the end of the day’s work. It is, in fact, the base and foundation of everything and every action at every moment. We need to start at peace. The very state of being at the beginning should be peace.”

The Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai actor continues to remain one of the most loved icons on social media thanks to his sense of humour, wisdom, and real and relatable take on everyday life. He recently broke the internet by showing off his ripped body on Instagram. He welcomed 2023 in style and captioned it, “Alright. Let’s go. #2023.”

Hrithik is now looking to break new ground in 2023 with aerial action entertainer Fighter, which marks his first collaboration with Deepika Padukone. The film also reunites him with War director Siddharth Anand. Veteran actor Anil Kapoor will also feature in this action extravaganza.
