Thalapathy Vijay appears in a dual role and performs high-octane motorbike stunts on foreign soil in a special teaser of his upcoming film Greatest of All Time (GOAT), dropped by the makers on the actor’s 50th birthday on Saturday.
The 51-second teaser features a bike chase where the two characters played by Vijay share a pillion as they dodge bullets and fire back at their pursuers. The teaser ends with a birthday wish for the actor from the makers as the words “Happy Birthday The GOAT” flash across the screen.
Wishing Vijay on his special day, GOAT director Venkat Prabhu also shared the teaser on social media. “Happy birthday to THE GOAT @actorvijay. Love you, na. See you tomorrow,” he wrote alongside the video.
Apart from Vijay, GOAT also features Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sneha, Mohan, Laila, and Jayaram in key roles.
On Saturday, the makers also released a promo for the film's second single Chinna Chinna Kangal, which is a tribute to the late singer Bhavatharini and features her AI-generated voice. The full song is yet to be released.
Backed by AGS Entertainment, the background score of GOAT is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni and editing by Venkat Raajen. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 5.
