“We shot a few important sequences near the Mall in Darjeeling and in a tea estate. We have about two days of shoot left in Darjeeling,” said director Kaushik Ganguly, who is back in town, shooting the rest of the portions.

What: the music launch of Dev and Koel Mallick’s Paglu.

The ground floor of the Bypass mall is chock-a-block. The crowd chants “Dev, Dev, Dev...!” as the Tolly hero joins Koel and director Rajib Kumar on stage where composer Jeet Gannguli is belting out one Paglu song after another. Ananya Chatterjee walked into Mainland China (Gurusaday Road) with Sabitri Chatterjee last Sunday to celebrate the success of Zee Bangla’s Subarnalata. “We’ve completed 300 episodes and so the party!” laughed Ananya, who plays Sabitri’s daughter-in-law in the mega serial.

 

Newcomers Vicky Dev and Oliva Khan got together for the music release of their film Unish Kurir Golpo, set for a May 6 release. “The title has a double meaning. On the one hand, the film deals with a group of 19- to 20-year-olds out on a holiday. On the other, certain events occur on the 19th and 20th of a month, which form the crux of the story,” said director Gautam Satvaya.
