San Andreas actress Alexandra Daddario will  lead the cast of the new film Can You Keep A Secret?, a feature adaptation of Sophie Kinsella’s bestseller of the same name. The project will be helmed by Elise Duran. Daddario will play Emma Corrigan, a girl with a few secrets who spills them all to a handsome stranger sitting next to her on a turbulent plane ride. Shortly after she meets Jack Harper, her company’s young and elusive CEO who turns out to be same man who knows every single humiliating detail about Emma. 

Hollywood veteran Robert De Niro is in talks to star in the Joker origin movie with Joaquin Phoenix in the lead. The Hollywood Reporter said if the deal goes through, the 74-year-old actor would play a talk show host who is somehow instrumental in the Joker’s back story. This would be De Niro’s first comic book film. Todd Phillips is directing the film, which the studio describes as being an “exploration of a man disregarded by society (that) is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale”. Phillips co-wrote the script with Scott Silver.
