Freddy
Disney+ Hotstar on Monday dropped the teaser of its upcoming romantic thriller film Freddy. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film stars Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F in lead roles.
The almost two-minute-long teaser shows Kartik in a brand-new look where his calm avatar and facial expressions create a sense of unease. Kartik’s character works as a dentist during the day and is shown dragging a corpse into the woods at night.
Freddy will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar from December 2.
The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House
Netflix on Monday shared the official teaser of its upcoming Japanese period drama series The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House. It is based on the manga Maiko-san Chi No Makanai-san by Aiko Koyama. Created by Hirokazu Kore-eda and produced by Genki Kawamura, the series stars Nana Mori and Natsuki Deguchi in lead roles.
The official synopsis reads, “Set in the geisha district of Kyoto, this series follows Sumire, a maiko (apprentice geisha) and Kiyo, a cook at the maiko house where they live, and tells a story of their daily lives through delicious food.”
The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House will arrive on Netflix on January 12.
Raymo
Anand Audio on Sunday late evening unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming Kannada-language musical romantic drama film Raymo. Directed by Pavan Wadeyar, the film stars Ishan and Ashika Ranganath in lead roles. Produced by C.R. Manohar, the music of the film is composed by Arjun Janya.
In the trailer, we see a traditional girl becoming a bold and arrogant pop star after being betrayed by a huge pop star named Raymo. She falls in love with Raymo and then things don’t go according to her plans — it takes a toll on her life but Raymo seems unaffected.
Raymo will hit the cinemas on November 25.
Butta Bomma
Sithara Entertainments shared the official teaser of its upcoming Telugu-langauge romantic drama film Butta Bomma. Directed by Shouree Chandrashekhar T Ramesh, the film features Anikha Surendran, Arjun Das and Surya Vashistta in lead roles.
The teaser shows us a budding romance between a rickshaw driver and a young girl as they talk over the phone and go on a date. However, their romance gets interrupted by the presence of a rowdy who has unfinished business with the rickshaw driver.
Stranger Things 5
Netflix on Monday shared an image of the cover of a script titled Episode #501 Chapter One: The Crawl for its hit 80s-themed sci-fi thriller Stranger Things. Season four Vol. 1 and 2 of the show emerged as Netflix’s most-watched series ever. The series stars Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke and Winona Ryder.
Created by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, the show is a homage to the 80s sci-fi thrillers of Hollywood. The streamers shared the image with the caption “Verified Stranger Things. Season 5, Episode 501. The Crawl. BADA BADA BOOM!”
