Feroz Khan’s son Fardeen Khan has reacted to veteran actress Zeenat Aman’s anecdote about how her pay was cut for showing up late on the sets of the 1980 film Qurbani, saying that the late actor-director didn’t even spare his own family when it came to salary cuts.

"@thezeenataman aunty, if it's any consolation, family wasn't spared either. We just received the standard family discount of 25% . Khan Saab would have loved your post. He would have laughed out loud ," Fardeen wrote, sharing Zeenat’s post on his Instagram stories on Friday.

Zeenat responded to Fardeen's post by sharing it on her Instagram Stories along with a purple heart emoji.

In her anecdotal note shared earlier this week, Zeenat remembered Feroz for his charisma before talking about the pay cut.

"I was quite a diligent worker, but on one occasion my youth got the better of me. Though we had an early call time the next day, I agreed to go out to a party. It was a fantastic night of dance and drink, and unsurprisingly I landed up one hour late to set. Feroz was glowering behind his camera, and before I could offer him my meagre excuse, he cut me down to size. “Begum, you’re late and you’re going to pay for the delay.” No argument, no scolding, but you can be sure that he docked my pay to pay the crew for that one hour delay,” she recounted.

“Feroz was suave, charming and polished. He was a talented actor-director, and Qurbani remains one of my favourite projects to date. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this anecdote and I hope 2024 is off to a roaring start for you,” the Don actress signed off.

Qurbani, released in 1980, remains a classic Bollywood film known for its exploration of themes like friendship, betrayal, and revenge. Feroz Khan not only directed the movie but also acted in it alongside Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman and Amjad Khan.
