I only drink wine when I am alone or with others” — reads the writing on the window pane. The line echoes the vibe of the new 800sq ft hangout, Fyoom, housed inside the vegetarian restaurant Go Green on CIT Road.

“We have a steady footfall of families at Go Green. We wanted to come up with a peppy place for youngsters to chill with friends, or alone,” said Fyoom partners Arvind Bhatnagar and Sunil Nahata.

So paint drums have been converted into seating stools, a cycle wheel is now a light stand, and kerosene lanterns hang from the walls. Leaf through a book or play Scrabble while munching on Onion Rings, CSC-style Masala Chips served with Onions and Chillies, Cheesy Vegetable Parcels or Baked Potato Wedges. For bigger bites, there’s Baked Macaroni and Cheese Garlic Pesto with Cheese and Olives.

And true to its name Fyoom (ahem, fume), there are some crazy hookah flavours like Kacchi Kairi, Watermelon, and Golden Paan with Spring Water Base or Sangria Wangria Base. “Hookah used to be popular but now it has become a real craze. So we have introduced a few new flavours,” said Arvind.

Where: Go Green, P252, CIT Road, Kankurgachhi  crossing
