Singer Dua Lipa has made her relationship with director Romain Gavras public by sharing a photo of the duo posing together at Cannes and calling the 41-year-old her “sweetheart” on social media.
“Hier soir à Cannes avec mon cœur” (Last night in Cannes with my sweetheart),” she wrote alongside the photo which shows the duo twinning in black and embracing each other.
Rumours of their relationship were doing the rounds since the 27-year old singer was spotted holding hands with Gavras while leaving a Paris Fashion Week event. According to media reports, the duo had been “quietly getting to know each other” for months.

Romain Gavras is a Greek-French filmmaker who has recently worked on the Netflix action-thriller Athena. After his relationship with Lipa went public, he took to his Instagram story to share a post of Lipa with heart emojis.

Gavras has also worked on music videos like M.I.A’s Bad Girls and Frank Ocean’s No Church in the Wild. He has shot ad campaigns for brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior and Powerade.
The duo attended the Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers) screening at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
