"In a world dominated by oppression and tyranny, destruction looms inevitably. However, all it takes is one courageous saviour to put an end to these atrocities. For the first time ever, we bring you the immortal tale of India's beloved son, Bagha Jatin, on the grand cinema screen,” Dev wrote on Twitter.

“On the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja and Navratri, we proudly present 'Bagha Jatin', the biggest production to date by Dev Entertainment Ventures, coming soon to theaters," his tweet further read.

Slated to release on August 11, the film features Rukmini Maitra as Byomkesh’s wife Satyabati and Ambarish Bhattacharya as his companion Ajit Bandyopadhyay.
