Brahmastra’s first-day box office collections in India could be Rs 37 crore: Ormax Media

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy, hit the theatres today

Amid much fanfare, Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy-adventure drama Brahmastra Part One: Shiva released today. Twitter is abuzz with mixed reviews on one of the most expensive films made in India.

As far as numbers are concerned, Ormax Media, an online research outfit that works closely with Bollywood, OTT platforms and TV channels in tracking and forecasting-led analytics, predicts Brahmastra’s pan-India first-day box office collection to be around Rs 37 crore.

The tweet posted by Ormax Media read: ‘OrmaxCinematix FBO (First-Day Box Office Forecast) for today’s major release Brahmastra: All India Gross ₹37 Cr, with the Hindi version being the primary contributor with 85%+ language share.’

Ormax also listed Brahmastra lead pair Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s top 10 most-liked films (all-time).

Among Alia’s original Hindi language films, the top three include Gully Boy, Raazi and Gangubai Kathiawadi, based on audience likeability.

Ranbir’s top three most-liked films (since 2009) are Sanju, Barfi! and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

The Ranbir-Alia biggie, produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, has released in five Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada.
