He is just three films old but rising star Hiran (picture left by Pabitra Das) already knows the way to a fan’s heart — blogging.

“I wanted to reach out to people and what better way to connect than through my website and blog,” dimples Hiran. And what better way really to celebrate one’s birthday than launch one’s personal website? Hiran unveiled www.herohiran.com on December 19. “That’s a gift I gave himself on my birthday, instead of celebrating with friends and colleagues,” says he.

Needless to say the idea for Net gains came after looking up Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan’s blogs. “My first blog was on pledging my eyes, which I believe will encourage others to do the same. I was surprised that several celebrities discouraged me from pledging my eyes. There isn’t much awareness and I felt the message should be spread among the people,” says Hiran.

A busy shooting schedule is leaving him with little time to ponder and post his thoughts, but Hiran logs on whenever he can. “I posted the first blog at 3.48am despite having an early morning shoot. It’s all about time management I guess,” he laughs.

Currently, Hiran is shooting for Haranath Chakraborty’s Maa. Up next is Swapan Saha’s Olot Palot, a comedy under T. Sarkar Productions.

“Talks were on with Swapan Saha for a long time. Finally, Surajit, a friend of mine, wrote a script which I really liked. I showed it to Vinayak Sarkar of T Sarkar Productions. He liked it and took it to Swapan Saha. Both of them agreed!” Hiran adds.

The film also stars Oriya hero Rishi, Shriya of Tomar Jonyo and Priyanka of Chirodini... Tumi Je Aamar. “Olot Palot is a hilarious comedy about a rich boy and a poor boy who get the chance to live each other’s lives and that’s how the confusion arises. Hiran is paired opposite Shriya,” says Vinayak.

Hiran gets busy with Olot Palot from December 29.
