After taking a few years away from music-making to concentrate on her other ventures, Ariana Grande will come up with next studio album in 2024, the singer-songwriter confirmed on social media on Wednesday.

“See you next year,” posted the 30-year-old singer on Instagram alongside a carousel featuring a few polaroid shots, a selfie and some candid moments from a recording studio.

The British-Albanian singer shared a selfie shedding tears of joy, while she seems to be dancing while Facetiming someone. Another picture, which contains a close-up shot of Grande’s lips painted in red, also shows a postcard with the “See You next year” message written across it.

Grande’s mother features in a video, while the two-time Grammy-winning singer lies on a couch wrapped in a blanket in another video. A man is heard saying, “This is almost the last day of the album”. Grande giggles and replies, “I am so happy...I also feel like I weigh 3000 tonnes.”

“It’s official. 2024 is my favorite year of all time,” commented the POV singer’s brother, Frankie James Grande, just underneath the post.

Earlier this month, Grande had shared several slides of herself working in a recording studio on Instagram.

The teaser post overflowed with enthusiastic comments from fans and fellow artists alike. “FINALLY,” wrote Selena Gomez, while Victoria Monet said, “She’s home.”

Grande’s sixth studio album Positions came out in October 2020. Themed on sexual intimacy, attraction and romantic devotion, the album went on to become one of the best-selling albums of the year, earning the singer a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.

Grande will also star in a film adaptation of the musical Wicked, slated to release on November 27, 2024.
