Blonde

Netflix has dropped the trailer of Andrew Dominik’s Blonde — an adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’ novel of the same name based on the life and career of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe.

The Gray Man actress Ana de Armas portrays Marilyn Monroe in this boldly imaginative film that explores the complicated life of the Hollywood icon. In Blonde, the audience will discover both known and unknown happenings in the silver-screen legend’s life.

The two-minute-8-second-long trailer explores the split between the late Hollywood legend’s public and private lives. It touches on everything, right from Monroe’s childhood to her rise to stardom and her many romantic entanglements while blurring the line between fact and fiction.

Apart from Ana de Armas, Blonde stars Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Xavier Samuel, and Julianne Nicholson. The film will premiere on Netflix on September 28.

Waat Laga Denge

Sony Music India has released the second song Waat Laga Denge from Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming action film Liger. Sung by the Arjun Reddy actor himself, the high-octane song is written by director Puri Jagannadh and composed by Sunil Kashyap.

The video focuses on the main theme of Liger, which is Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The 33-year-old actor plays a street fighter who represents India in an international MMA tournament.

Deverakonda is seen inside the octagon where he’s fighting fearlessly against his opponents. The actor is also seen speaking to the media before the tournament as he vows to prove that Indians are not inferior to fighters from other countries.

Apart from the Telugu superstar, the pan-India film also stars Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Makarand Deshpande and former boxer Mike Tyson. Liger will hit the theaters on August 25.

Locke & Key: Season 3

Netflix has released the official trailer for the third and final season of their fantasy horror series Locke and Key. The series is based on the comics by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez of the same name.

“The Locke family uncovers more magic within Keyhouse, while a new threat — the most dangerous one yet — looms in Matheson with plans of his own for the keys,” reads the official synopsis.

The season three trailer features Emilia Jones as Kinsey, Jackson Robert Scott as Bode, and Connor Jessup as Tyler.

Locke & Key Season three will be streaming on Netflix from August 10.

White Noise

Netflix announced that Noah Baumbach’s upcoming film White Noise, starring Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig, will be the opening film of the 79th Venice Film Festival.

The official Instagram handle of the film shared the news along with an image from the film and captioned it, “We are honored to announce WHITE NOISE by Noah Baumbach, starring Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig will be the opening film of the 79th Venice Film Festival.”

Adapted from the great Don DeLillo novel of the same name, Baumbach wrote the screenplay which plays with a measure on multiple registers: dramatic, ironic, satirical. Netflix is yet to announce the release date of the White Noise.

I Just Killed My Dad

Netflix released the official trailer of their upcoming true-crime documentary series I Just Killed My Dad. In this three-part docu-series, the makers explore the case of Anthony Templet, who killed his father.

Directed by Skye Borgman, who previously helmed the gripping Girl in the Picture, this upcoming docu-series explores the Templet family’s complex history which includes allegations of abuse, kidnapping, and surveillance to understand what drove Anthony to kill his father.

I Just Killed My Dad arrives on Netflix on August 9.
