A serial-gobbling daughter Chhana (Anjana Basu), her unemployed and ever-sleepy husband Doodh (Kushal Chakraborty) and her pseudo-intellectual nincompoop brother Doi (Biswanath Basu), along with their dead parents Makhan (Chandan Sen) and Kheerada, made Doodh-e Bhoot-e a laugh riot at GD Birla Sabhaghar on May 2. Presented by Dailycious in association with Anandabazar Patrika, the 90-minute comedy, Doodh-e Bhoot-e, marked the launch of Dailycious Milk in Calcutta.

The play revolved around Makhan and his children Chhana and Doi and son-in-law Doodh, who have inherited his black money. Now since Makhan died of a sudden heart attack, he had no means to inform them about where he had hidden the cash. Makhan’s spirit keeps moving around the house for an opportunity to give the information till his wife Kheerada, who is also a ghost, suggests that he makes his presence felt by wreaking havoc inside the house. This prompts the trio to perform a planchette. They do find the stash, but is it any good anymore?!
