Weavers Studio plays with art on textile, canvas and clay

It’s a happening fortnight at Ballygunge Place as Weavers Studio hosts The Artisan Edit in association with t2, showcasing naturally-dyed textiles and featuring designers from across the country. Weavers Studio Centre for the Arts, a stone’s throw from the flagship store, is also hosting Brush & Clay in association with t2, featuring paintings and sculptures by Partha Dasgupta and Asim Paul.

It’s a happening fortnight at Ballygunge Place as Weavers Studio hosts The Artisan Edit in association with t2, showcasing naturally-dyed textiles and featuring designers from across the country. Weavers Studio Centre for the Arts, a stone’s throw from the flagship store, is also hosting Brush & Clay in association with t2, featuring paintings and sculptures by Partha Dasgupta and Asim Paul.

Artist Ramananda Bandyopadhyay (second from right) inaugurated the exhibition on November 4. Also present were (l-r) artists Manoj Dutta, Asim Paul, Darshan Shah of Weavers Studio Centre for the Arts, Partha Dasgupta and Jayasri Burman. On November 5, Durga in Making, a documentary featuring Burman on her journey of sculpting a Durga idol, was screened.
