New bites at a quaint cafe with arty vibes

This 41-seater space boasts of a menu that “calms the mind and stimulates it”. The white brick walls and a blue wall of art have a simple yet modern look. With books, quirky sculptures, and merchandise to explore, the laid-back ambience makes it a good spot for grabbing a bite or reading a book. The cafe also hosts stand-up comedy, book readings and live music sessions.

An art cafe that draws on European influences to allow for the exploration of creativity and tasty cuisine — that’s Artsy — Coffee & Culture for you. This quaint cafe is all about creativity even when it comes to food. Eight months since it opened, Artsy is all set to offer some healthy and light bites as  part of their new menu.

“We believe that Artsy is a cultural integrator and a place that gives equal importance to food, coffee, tea and art. I am thankful to our patrons for their warm acceptance and I hope that our new menu will encompass a larger audience,” said Manjyot Kaur and Arshdeep Singh, owners.

Mezze Platter Non-Veg

This Middle Eastern classic featuring minced chicken kebab on pita, served with red pepper hummus, tzatziki and tabbouleh, is a winner. Rs 355

Coffee Tonic

A twist to your usual cup of coffee, this sip features chilled tonic water and ice topped with a single shot of espresso. Yummy! Rs 200

Avocado Toast

This Australian staple includes mashed avocado topped with feta and cucumber, on sourdough bread. The toast is sprinkled with pumpkin and sunflower seeds for extra crunch, also adding to the nutritional value of the dish. Rs 250

Butter Chicken Panini

This panini has chicken tikka that has been cooked in makhani sauce, the chef’s own butter masala, and laid upon crispy whole-wheat bread, with pickled salad on the side. Rs 325

Pad Thai

This ‘Small Plate’ option features Thai staple flat noodles, with bean sprouts, basil, and a spicy sweet-and-sour sauce with a kick. There are three variations of the dish — vegetarian, chicken and shrimps. Rs 275 for veg, Rs 295 for chicken and Rs 375 for shrimps
