Calcutta, Sept. 9: Shristi Infrastructure Development Corporation is planning to unveil its first five star deluxe property at New Town in Calcutta in November this year, which will be managed by US-based hospitality chain Westin.

"The hotel property and serviced apartments will be commissioned in November. The property will be managed by Westin," said Sunil Jha, MD of Shristi Infrastructure Development Corp, here today.

"Since the property is close to the airport, we are expecting a lot of clients from the IT sector," Jha said.

This project will be one of the three five-star deluxe properties that are coming up in the city. Other two projects are ITC Royal Bengal and JW Marriott.

Shristi's property will have two towers - the hotel and serviced apartments called "V" - each comprising 37 storeys. The eight-acre plot will also house a retail complex and a multiplex.

The city-based developer is also investing in two projects in Mumbai and Guwahati.

"The Shristi Sea View is our first and major housing project beyond eastern India. We took over the project from a Mumbai-based developer Unity Infra Project in December 2015 as they could not continue with it. Our investment is around Rs 160-180 crore," said Jha. The Mumbai-based developer had already invested Rs 50-60 crore.

The project in Guwahati is a township spread over 250 acres at Khargul Hills extension. "The township will be built in a phase-wise manner. In the first phase, the investment is about Rs 125-150 crore."
