New Delhi, Dec. 29: The government today said it had no immediate plans to hike auto fuel prices. State-owned refiners are projected to lose Rs 45,000 crore for selling petrol, diesel, domestic LPG cylinder and kerosene at rates below cost during the current fiscal. “There is no such proposal yet to revisit the prices of petrol and diesel,” petroleum secretary R.S. Pandey said.
Mumbai, Dec. 29: The government will sell an 8.38 per cent stake in NMDC Ltd, the iron ore miner, through a follow-on offer before the end of this fiscal. At the current market price, the Centre will rake in about Rs 14,000 crore through the sale of NMDC shares.
New Delhi, Dec. 29: Maruti Suzuki India plans to bring in the hatchback version of its sedan SX4 in the upcoming auto expo, scheduled to be held in the first week of January. In Europe, the SX4 hatchback is available in 2-litre, 1.6-litre and 1.5-litre petrol-engine variants.
Agartala, Dec. 29: ONGC has struck a new gas well at Sundaribari in South Tripura district, official sources said. “Preliminary examination shows that low resistivity sand perforated in the interval of 2164-68 metre produced gas at the rate of 160,000 million cubic metre per day,” officials said.
Calcutta, Dec. 29: Inox India Limited, a cryogenic engineering company, has acquired majority interest in Cryogenic Vessel Alternatives, the manufacturer of cryogenic transportation equipment.
