Starbucks alliance with Tatas

New Delhi, Jan. 19: Coffee giant Starbucks is fine tuning its plans to set up stores in India in partnership with Tata Coffee. The two parties are likely to announce the blueprint by the end of this month. “We are on the verge of signing the contract. We will announce the alliance by the end of this month and are working on final modalities of the agreement,” Tata Coffee managing director Hameed Huq said.

Bharti pact

New Delhi, Jan. 19: Bharti Airtel has extended its managed services pact with Nokia Siemens Networks for another five years in eight circles of the country, including Bihar, Jharkhand, Calcutta, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa.

Cairn output

New Delhi, Jan. 19: Production from the Mangala field of Cairn India is set to go up to 150,000 barrels per day with the managing committee slated to meet next week.

Maruti engines

New Delhi, Jan. 19: Maruti Suzuki India will power its new multi-purpose vehicle Ertiga and the compact DZire, to be launched later this year, with Fiat diesel engines.

Vodafone case

New Delhi, Jan. 19: The Supreme Court will tomorrow give its judgment on Vodafone International Holdings’ appeal challenging the income tax demand of Rs 11,000 crore on the overseas deal between Vodafone and Hutchison.
