Where to boogie on New Year’s Eve

​As another year winds down, The Telegraph picks some hotspots across the city you can hit to usher in 2017 with foot-tapping music and yummy food

Hotel Kautilya Vihar, Beerchand Patel Marg
♦ Capacity: 1000 people
♦ Highlights: A dance and musical with the theme “Bollywood Hungama”. 
Singing reality show Fame Gurukul winner Rooprekha Banerjee, Bollywood actress and Bigg Boss reality series contestant Yuvika Choudhary and Bhojpuri actress 
Priyanka Pandit will perform. DJs will spin chart-busters and revellers can dedicate their favourite song to their loved ones with a message. The food will be simple but delicious as people look more for entertainment than a culinary feast, said Sunil Kumar Sinha, managing director of the hotel.
♦ Palate pleasers: Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffet including starters and five varieties of mocktails.
♦ Pocket pinch: Rs 2500 (for a couple and kids below age 5) and Rs 1500 (per head) including food.
♦ Timing: December 31, 8pm onwards


The Panache, Gandhi Maidan
♦ Capacity: 600 people
♦ Highlights: Performance by Pinky Maidasani, who featured in season three of Indian Idol and a dance troupe.
♦ Palate pleasers: All-you-can-eat buffet with menu ranging from Bihari to Asian to continental cuisine, and a mocktail bar.
♦ Pocket pinch: Rs 6000 per couple and Rs 4000 for singles including food. Free entry for children below age 6.
♦ Timing: December 31, 8pm onwards


Pukhtaan, Bandar Bagicha Road
♦ Capacity: 180 people
♦ Highlights: Performance by Yash Vardhan, who is popular on YouTube, special free candies for kids, interactive games.
♦ Palate pleasers: Barbecue and tandoor items, papad and kulfi bar, street food, South Indian and Chinese cuisine, Indian and continental desserts.
♦ Pocket pinch: Rs 4000 per person, Rs 6000 per couple.
♦ Timing: December 31, 8pm onwards


Hotel Patliputra Continental, Anisabad
♦ Capacity: 400 people
♦ Highlights: Performance by contestants of singing reality show SaReGaMaPa, couples’ dance, DJs, kids’ zone and games such as lucky draw. Bipin Jha, deputy general manager of the hotel, said: “The lucky draw-winning couple will get a chance to stay one night at our hotel with special room services and win an Oppo mobile phone.” A band from Mumbai will also perform.
♦ Palate pleasers: Thai, Mexican, seafood, Chinese, Indian cuisine, and Hawaiian mocktail.
♦ Pocket pinch: Rs 4999 (per couple and kids below age 5), Rs 3999 (per head) and Rs 1500 (for kids’ between age 6 and 12) including buffet.
♦ Timing: December 31, 8pm onwards 

Hotel Maurya and Bollywood Treat, Fraser Road
♦ Capacity: 600 people
♦ Highlights: Spice Court for a sit-down dinner and DJ and dance floor at Bollywood Treat. A local band, Tapasya, will also perform. 
♦ Palate pleasers: Buffet including pan-Indian, Mexican and continental cuisine.
♦ Pocket pinch: For Spice Court: Rs 3500 for couples, Rs 2500 per head, Rs 1500 for children (plus tax). For Bollywood Treat: Rs 1000 (plus taxes) per head and Rs 700 per child (plus taxes).
♦ Timing: December 31, 7pm onwards

The Yellow Chilli, Fraser Road
♦ Capacity: 300 people
♦ Highlights: Live band and candlelight dinner. Restaurant owner Roopa Singa said a special menu has been designed for New Year’s. For Rs 399, one can order 15 vegetarian dishes. For Rs 499, one can order 15 non-vegetarian dishes. There will be special Punjabi fare in view of Prakash Utsav. A band comprising college students will perform.
♦ Palate pleasers: Punjabi, Chinese, Thai, continental and Indian cuisine and mocktails.
♦ Pocket pinch: Rs 399 for vegetarian platter, Rs 499 for non-vegetarian
♦ Timing: 11am to 7pm, December 28, 2016, to January 5, 2017
