The Patna zoo family has a new member. Bhimarao (outside the fence), a 13.5-foot-tall male giraffe from Mysore zoo arrived late on Tuesday evening after covering 2,400km by road in nine days and three hours. “Patna zoo has two female giraffes and the male one has been brought to increase the breeding activity. We would start the breeding activities after six months,” said zoo director S Chandrashekhar. The giraffe was brought under an animal exchange programme.
