Thirty-five of 40 students of Vision Classes’ day scholars’ camp tasted success in the IIT-JEE this year.
Opened four years ago, the institute set up the day scholars’ camp to guide meritorious students from economically weaker sections of society.
K. Singh, the director of Vision Classes, said: “At the camp, students are taught from the zero-level to the concept-level. Classes are held daily between 9am and 9pm and the students are provided with food.”
Four senior faculty members give sustained coaching to these students. Avitanshu Kumar Adarsh, a student of the camp and a grocery shopkeeper’s son from Arwal district, said: “I spotted an advertisements published in a newspaper and applied for Vision Classes. Being the district topper in Matriculation examination, I was offered cent per cent scholarship.”
This year, total 75 students from Vision Classes, including those of day scholars’ camp, cracked the IIT-JEE. Singh said: “We are planning to expand our institute in other states too. We have started our branch in Calcutta and will soon start branches in Ahmedabad and Vadodara.”
