Event: Inter-school essay writing competition
Duration: Three hours
Special attraction: The Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys' Association (AMUOBA), Bihar, organised an inter-school essay writing competition at Patna High School. The event was organised as a part of the 198th birth anniversary celebrations of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. The competition was open to students from Classes VI to X. The general secretary of AMUOBA, Arshad Haque, said: “The aim behind organising such competitions is to generate curiosity among children regarding the great social reformer Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.” Sixty students from different schools of Bihar participated in the competition. A number of girls participated in the event. Mudassir Alam, an alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University said the prizes would be presented on October 31, 2015, at Haj Bhavan in Patna.

Event: Fancy dress competition
Duration: One hour
Special attraction: A fancy dress competition was organised for the tiny tots on the school premises. Children actively took part in the event, in which they dressed up as the nine avatars of Goddess Durga. Suhani, Manisha, Vaishnavi, Vanshika, Disha, Palak, Malaika, Suhani and Surbhi dressed up as Shailputri, Brahmacharini Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandmata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Sidhidatri respectively. Priyam won the first prize, while Bhavya and Alekh bagged the second and third prize respectively. School director Premlata Bhargava, gave away the prizes and lauded the students for their efforts. Among the teachers, Geeta, Shivani, Chandani, Sanju, Priyanka, Shweta, Shalini and Rashmi were present.
