Criminals lodged in Motihari Central Jail, who have been reported for misconduct, could be shifted to other prisons in the state.
Sources said inspector-general (prisons) Anand Kishore wants to transfer the inmates found planning murder and extortion behind the bars.
The sources added that the state directed the jail administration to keep strict vigil on the inmates who are a threat to law and order in the prison.
Jail superintendent K.P. Pingua said: “There is nothing new about the transfer of an inmate from one jail to another. Such decisions are taken by the state government.”
