Trader goes missing on way to in-laws' house

A 40-year-old computer trader at Bhatta Bazaar has been missing since Wednesday but the police have not been able to trace him yet.

A 40-year-old computer trader at Bhatta Bazaar has been missing since Wednesday but the police have not been able to trace him yet.

The businessman, identified as Sunil Kumar Verma, a resident of Sarvodaya Ashram, last contacted his family at 10pm on Wednesday when he was on the train at Purnea railway station. Sunil was on his way to meet his in-laws living in Biharsharif and left home around 8pm so that he could catch the train from Purnea station at 9.45pm.

Sunil's family strived to contact him the next day at 7am but his cellphone was found switched off. Since then he couldn't be contacted. The family lodged a missing case at Government Railway Police station at Purnea on Thursday.

Sunil's younger brother, Shashi Shekhar Verma, said: " The investigation is on. The veracity of the matter could be revealed only after he returns."
