Patna: RJD's national vice-president Shivanand Tiwari called chief minister Nitish Kumar Duryodhana, wanting to kill Tejashwi who he called Abhimanyu.
The former MP referred to the characters from Mahabharat on Wednesday before thousands of RJD workers when the party observed former chief minister Karpoori Thakur's birth anniversary.
"Lalu Prasad was never a threat to Nitish because he could not contest elections. Lalu had no interest in national politics except Bihar. Lalu ji was ready to help Nitish but he ditched him. When the CBI registered a case against Tejashwi, Nitish asked him to resign. Tejashwi is Abhimanyu. The way Abhimanyu was killed, Nitish as Duryodhana wanted to kill Tejashwi from day one," Tiwari said.
If he had any bad impression of Tejashwi, Tiwari said, Nitish could have always dropped him from the cabinet but to form the government with the BJP, Tejashwi was just an excuse.
"Nitish has played a dirty game by breaking the Grand Alliance. I know both Nitish and Lalu for a long time," he added. "I had an impression about Nitish that one day he will become the Prime Minister. I used to think he was a very intelligent politician with a bright future. Nitish was the only leader who could stand in front of Narendra Modi and the country was looking at him but Nitish turned traitor by surrendering himself in front of Modi."
Tiwari held that the chief minister chose to be in history's dustbin when he could have made history by challenging Prime Minister Modi in the 2019 elections.
He added that the BJP was a party that did not even shy away from abusing the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He called the BJP an anti-Dalit and anti-reservation party.
