Patna, Feb. 10: Youngsters in the state capital were eagerly waiting for the Kareena-Imran starrer Ek Main aur Ekk Tu. It was evident from the huge turnout at the theatres today.

Radhika, a college student who came to watch the first show at Cinepolis today with her friends, said: “I have been waiting for the film to release ever since I saw the promos.”

She added: “The film is amazing. Both Kareena and Imran have acted well. Kareena’s character has very witty lines and Imran’s expressions are just so adorable. The Auntiji song reminds one of Pappu can’t dance saala from Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na and Kareena looked gorgeous in it. This track will be on everyone’s lips this Valentine’s Day.”

Cinepolis is screening 11 shows and Mona cinema is running four shows.

Cinepolis unit head Abhishek Ranjan said: “The response to the film is good till now and a lot of youngsters are coming to watch the film. Today is the first day and we have screened two shows. Mainly students are coming in big numbers. We are expecting the numbers to go up in the weekend.”

Tickets available for the two shows before 12noon are priced at Rs 130 and for shows after 12noon at Rs 180.

Ranjan added: “On February 14, there will be only four shows as films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein as a Valentine’s Day package.”

Rishabh, a college student, said: “The story is different and not like where two people meet and fall in love. This film emphasises on fun and friendship. I have seen the film but I don’t mind seeing it again. I will definitely book tickets for me and my girlfriend to catch the show on Valentine’s Day.”

“Since the movie deals with friendship and love, it is sure to attract youngsters. Valentine’s Day is around the corner and we are sure the film will do well,” said Sharad, the Mona cinema manager.

He added: “On the first day itself, about 300 tickets have been booked for the 12noon show. As many as 400 tickets for the 3pm show have been sold. For the evening show today, around 200 tickets have been booked. There is also a huge demand for online tickets.”
