Gopalganj, Jan. 17 (PTI): Three persons, including two women, were killed today when a speeding truck lost control and overturned near Kateya village in Gopalganj district, police said.

Sources said the mishap occurred when the truck overturned trapping the two women underneath while they were cutting grass on the roadside.

The two women, identified as Somrati Devi (40) and Laysi Devi (45), were killed on the spot.        

The truck cleaner Raghuvar Das (24) died owing to multiples injuries, they said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that the truck driver fled the spot.
