Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Sunday declared that the RJD will not compromise with Nitish Kumar "even if Nitish ji apologises to my father (Lalu Prasad) or kneels down in front of him".
Tejashwi was addressing at least 10,000 people at the Gareeb Mahasamellan organised by Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha Secular (HAMS) at Gandhi Maidan.
Tejashwi was accompanied by RJD Bihar president Ram Chandra Purbey and party state principal general secretary Alok Mehta.
Tejashwi claimed that without baisakhi (support of crutches) Nitish cannot form government and that was why he had formed four governments in four years.
" Hamare chacha ne har ghaat ka paani pi li hai (my uncle has drank water of every shore). He swings from one side to the other. He cannot form government on his own. I challenge him to remove the support and then form the government," Tejashwi said.
"Nitish ji used to say mitti mein mil jayenge par BJP ke saath nahi jayenge (I would rather be finished than side with the BJP). He has now sided with the BJP, so he should tell the people of Bihar wo mitti mein kab milenge (when he will be finished)," he added.
The former deputy chief minister accused Nitish of sitting "in the lap of the RSS and Manuwadis (casteist people)", and being anti-Dalit and anti-reservation.
Tejashwi also thanked Manjhi"for coming with us at the time of trouble".
