Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Sunday slammed chief minister Nitish Kumar over the Karnataka political drama and asked him to break his silence on the entire episode.

Tejashwi asked Nitish to speak on the matter in which an audio clip containing the purported voice of B.S. Yeddyurappa is heard luring Congress legislators with money and cabinet berths.

Tejashwi said Nitish cannot be selective and must break his silence on the issue, as he is running government in alliance with the BJP in Bihar. "I hope my chacha (read uncle Nitish) must have heard the audio clip in which one can easily hear that how Yeddyurappa is trying to lure Congress MLAs by offering money and cabinet berths. Is the antaraatma (inner voice) of Nitish not asking him to speak on the BJP which murdered democracy in Karnataka? Speak up at least," said Tejashwi, adding that he cannot be selective on the issue of corruption.

On Friday, the Congress had released four undated audio clips and alleged that it featured the voice of BJP leaders.

Citing his own example, the former deputy chief minister said Nitish broke the Grand Alliance just on the basis of an FIR against him but was not ready to speak on BJP leaders like Yeddyurappa and the Reddy brothers of Bellary despite all being accused in corruption cases. "I know Nitish chacha will not speak whether his antaraatma was supporting the BJP in Karnataka or the Opposition them but his silence clearly proves his full support to the dictator BJP and the murderers of democracy," Tejashwi remarked.

The RJD leader taunted Nitish saying that he claimed to be on high moral ground but was silent on the Karnataka issue when horse-trading was being carried out by BJP leaders.

"The BJP leaders were ready to feed the Congress MLAs but no one was ready to take their food and Nitish is such a person who gives his full support to the same corrupt party," Tejashwi alleged.

Tejashwi demanded the once the new government was formed in Karnataka, Yeddyurappa must be detained and legal action be taken for his alleged role in horse-trading.

Dal retorts

JDU chief spokesperson Sanjay Singh on Sunday slammed Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav over his comment over chief minister Nitish Kumar's support to corrupt parties like the BJP and his sleeping antaraatma.

Sanjay issued a statement saying Tejashwi who was born and raised under the guidance of a corrupt person like Lalu Prasad does not have any right to speak on corruption.
