Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday hit back at Sushil Modi, accusing the deputy chief minister's relatives of benefiting from the Srijan fund transfer scam.
Modi has been making a series of allegations of ill-gotten assets against Tejashwi and family, and it was the turn of the RJD leader to pay back in kind.

Why?" the leader of Opposition tweeted on Thursday morning.
Attached to the tweet was a purported statement of the Indian Bank account of Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti, the NGO at the heart of the Rs 1,000 crore fund transfer scam. The account statement was dated from 12/2/2009 to 31/03/2016 and showed transfers of lakhs of rupees to Rekha Modi and Urvashi Modi.
The Telegraph has not verified the authenticity of the purported document furnished by Tejashwi.
The young RJD leader's salvo came a day after Modi accused him of fresh irregularities by hiding business interests. Tejashwi alleged that the Srijan scam - which the Central Bureau of Investigation is probing - took place under the "able guidance" of Sushil Kumar Modi, and that chief minister Nitish Kumar turned a blind eye to it despite having knowledge of it.
After Tejashwi's post, Modi hit back stating that Tejashwi should first explain how Srijan was registered during the Rabri Devi regime and a government building and land was given to the organisation at throwaway prices.
He also alleged that government funds were given to the organisation for the first time during Rabri Devi's rule. Modi also said that it was on the demand of Lalu Prasad that the chief minister had handed the Srijan scam probe to the CBI, and declared that nobody involved in the scam would be spared.
Modi also took potshots at Tejashwi on what he said were irregularities committed in the construction of a mall.
Sources said the deputy CM has a strained relationship with his cousin Rekha Modi. "They are not even on talking terms for the past two decades, and once Rekha Modi even staged a dharna in front of Sushil Kumar Modi's house," said a senior BJP leader.
